What does "heat-moldable skate" mean?
A heat-moldable skate is a model made from materials that can adapt to the individual shape of your foot when warmed. However, this does not mean that it should be placed in an oven right away.
In most cases, it's enough to simply wear the skate as usual: Through natural friction and body heat, the material gradually adjusts to pressure points. Over time, the skate "breaks in" and becomes more comfortable – no heating required.
⚠️ Note: It’s normal to experience some blisters or pressure points during the break-in period.
When should the skate be heated in an oven?
Only if you still experience persistent pressure points – e.g., around the ankle – after an extended break-in period, targeted heat molding may help.
Instructions:
- Remove the laces
Take the laces completely out of the skate. - Preheat oven to 80 °C (176 °F)
Place the skate in the oven for a maximum of 8 minutes at 80°C.
❗ Never heat longer or at a higher temperature! - Apply pressure
Use a round wooden object (e.g. spoon handle) to gently press the affected area from the inside outward. - Put the skate on and lace it up
Wear the warmed skate and lace it tightly to your foot. Stay in a seated position without moving. - Cool down
Let the skate cool down completely on your foot. After that, do not use the skate for at least 12 hours.
❌ Important:
Once the skate has been heat-molded, it is no longer eligible for return.
